On December 4th, my art teacher Ms. Hadley takes our class (10-B) to visit to an exhibition in Nanjing University which called Wu Weishan’s sculpture of cultural figures.

Wu Weishan, as you know, is a very famous artist in sculpture domain. When he was young he is study the eastern and western traditional and contemporary styles. With his magic hand, his sculpture fuse both styles, and make the sculpture more image. Ms. Hadley want us to get some good edifies in art. So she take our whole class to join this exhibition.

There were many sculptures in the museum. I like the wu jianxiong sculpture best. I feel that the greatest physical scientist wu jianxiong is almost in front of me and smile to me. It’s like a 3D photography, give us visualize forever. I think that wu jianxiong contribute a lot when our country is developing. We must to do something to commemorate her. Such as a personal sculpture.

The artwork reminds me to think about the experience that I came to the museum of wu jianxiong. And her whole life to contribute to the physics.

I don’t like this kind of artwork. But I also don’t hate it. Because this artwork is about characters. So the artist will try their best to do the artwork as similar as the person they can. If the person not very handsome or beautiful, the artwork will also not look good. So I think this kind of artwork’s good or bad all decided by the people. If the people like the person that the artist made they will think this artwork is good. If they don’t like they will think this artwork is bad.

This kind of subject all makes me feels like that. Because each person has its own characteristics. I think maybe the people will appreciate this kind of artwork or not. Because it’s all about characters.

On December 20, 2008. I and all my classmates went to a restaurant with grade 12 student. The restaurant called Paris regalement. It’s on Qingliangshan Gongyuan Guangzhoulu Nanjing. At 11:00am we meet at school gate and then go there by bus. At 11:30am we arrive at the restaurant.
The western and Chinese classical garden decorates give us a tranquility feeling and the color of the light make the restaurant more romantic. This restaurant is my classmates’ mothers. She is a French people. So she can provide the food that can represent the French culture.
Now we are all sit in the restaurant talking with each other to wait the lunch. Five minutes later, the waitress gives us a plate of salad. It includes some fruit and vegetables. It’s tasty very nice. After this, we wait for about half an hour, and then there is a soup with bread. The bread is not taste good and the soup is very strange. Then we wait for more than 30 minutes and the main food just coming.
It’s only a little meat in it and it taste not good. We all still feel hungry after eat this. The waitress told us there is also a nosh in the next. The nosh is the tastiest thing during the whole lunch. There are some piece of apple in the top and the grilled thing (like bread) in the bottom.
Although it tastes good, but I don’t like it because we still hungry and we must to buy something else to eat. It is spend almost two hours to eat and the meal is not well. The people who have many times and have many extra moneys will go there. I will not recommend other people to eat there.
