Last Monday, on December 1, 2008. The garden design expert Zhao Bing came to our school to teach us something about gardening.
First he took about the word “garden” in old Chinese handwriting, like this…… (Look at the picture) each part of the writing has its own meaning.
The finitude means you must have a space to think about how to design. If there is no finitude space, the garden won’t be come out.
The land form means you must change some land. For example, if there are flat, you should change it to the small hill or valley; this will make the garden more artistic conception.
The well or pond means you must make one or several part of water area in the garden, if there all lands in the garden this give people the feeling about lost something and not like a small world. Also the water area will make the garden more activity and more peaceful.
The trees means you must plant many trees, when the trees grow up, its tress will cover the garden and make the garden looks small and give us a feeling about gleamingly and make the garden to become a special place.
The definition of garden is: use stones and water to follow the beauty and then create a place to offer people to play and enjoy it in a finitude area.
The forepart garden in china is a place to having fun and living. But in western country, there are two kinds of garden .one is royal garden, another is personal garden. This is very famous in western countries.
The classical garden is the peaceful place in the noisy city. Look at the hills and water, and enjoy the peace of the garden is the wonderful experience during the whole life.
